Fort William & Ben Nevis

Fort William is the largest town in the Highlands and known as ‘The Outdoor Capital of the UK’. There are many things to see and do around the area such as:

BEN NEVIS – Ben Nevis is the largest mountain in the British Isles with its summit sitting at 1,345 metres (4,413 ft), and was once a massive active volcano which exploded and collapsed inwards on itself millions of years ago.

Ben Nevis is the king of them all. Part of the Grampian Mountain range, the famous peak attracts 125k people a year from all over the world, make their attempt to climb to the top and summit this majestic mountain. With the summit being 1,345m above sea level, it’s a climb that will test your abilities, strength and endurance.

Whether you're an avid ambler or you just love beautiful landscapes, bagging 'the Ben' is likely to feature near the top of your Scottish bucket list.

Nevis Range Snowsports

Nevis Range is a ski field in Scotland. Situated close to Fort William, Nevis Range offers good access to high slopes via a gondola.

With skiing up to 1190 metres (3,900 feet) Nevis Range reaches high on to the mountain of Aonach Mor and offers skiing and boarding into the spring. The base of the snowsports area is accessed by the UK’s only Mountain Gondola.

Ben Nevis Distillery

Founded by John “Long John” MacDonald in 1825, Ben Nevis Distillery is one of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland. Nestled at the foot of Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis, they have been crafting malt whisky from the highest water source in Scotland for nearly two hundred years.

The distillery produces single malt, which is bottled under the Ben Nevis name, while the spirit also contributes to the Dew of Ben Nevis which is a blended Scotch.
